FIMO group buys DCE

Oct. 31, 2018. Today, the FIMO Group, a global leader in the production and distribution of cable fixing systems in the telecommunications sector, controlled since 2015 by the IGI Investimenti Cinque fund, managed by IGI Private Equity, acquired DCE srl, a company based in Pomezia (RM), focused on cabling solutions and interconnection systems in the fixed and mobile telephony sector. The development of telecom infrastructures, both in the mobile telephony sector with the consolidation of 4G and the arrival of 5G, and in the fixed telephony sector, with the plan to develop Ultra Broad Band throughout Europe, increasingly require the development of such interconnection solutions, with a strong orientation toward tailor-made solutions. The FIMO Group is therefore adding another product line, in addition to components and camouflage solutions, to further strengthen its market presence and continue its growth process.

Luca Tamberi, CEO of FIMO said, "We acquired control of DCE to strengthen the growth path through a significant expansion of the product range. The skills of Mariano Sestili, CEO of DCE, and his team will be key to strengthening the growth strategy. The acquisition we are announcing today adds expertise that will enable Fimo to expand its offering, and allow the FIMO Group to position itself increasingly as a leader in telecommunications cable and antenna installation systems."

The FIMO Group was assisted by financial advisor K Finance. The firm Nctm handled the legal aspects of the transaction.
